A "Blog" or "Web Log" is a "Website" that acts as an "Online Journal of Entries".  A blog can be filled with "Text Entries" (e..g. RCSF Circulars), "Photos" (e.g. Local Press Reports) and "Web Links" to other Websites (e.g. “Community Safety Information & Service Providers”).

A "Blog" is a "Communication Tool" which has the potential to empower RCSF to reach a far wider audience (e.g.  School Children via their School Computers).  The "RCSF Blog" is set to allow full "Public Access" so that the information contains therein can be accessed by anyone, anywhere and at anytime, via the RCSF's Website Address : http://rotherhithe.spaces.live.com (Please bookmark “RCSF Blog” for your future reference).

It contains probably our best known and best loved "Group Photo" taken at the Rotherhithe & Surrey Docks Wards Residents Crime Survey Official Launch & Envelop Stuffing Volunteers Event that was held at Holy Trinity Church Hall on 11-9-2004 (Saturday) with RCSF Members of a wide range of age groups and from different walks of life who all share one Common Goal, the "RCSF's Mission Statement". 

It also contains some information about RCSF including contact details, common interest, RCSF’s birthday and  a quote from Margaret Mead, a world-famous anthropologist which has been specially chosen for inclusion.

5)    Category

“RCSF Blog” entries are "categorised" to help readers find the information more easily.  "Blogs" are designed to be used as online journals of daily thoughts, news, etc. and filed in “date order” as they are posted.  However, RCSF Blog may be used as a "Community Safety Idea Bank" to facilitate public discussions,  information sharing on specific issues or help develop "ideas" for "RCSF Special Projects" (e.g. Rotherhithe Youth Club).  In such circumstances, it is deemed to be more helpful to gather all the related daily postings and arranged them in "Sub Groups" (e.g. “Reckless & Anti-Social Motorbikes (“RAMs”) within each "Category" in “date order” to facilitate ease of accessing the information.  There is an "Index of Content" at the start of each "Category" where appropriate with all the related "Sub Groups" arranged in descending order as they would appear when the Blog Visitors scroll down the screen with the associated "Last Updated Date" for each entry to highlight the most recent input or update that has been introduced.
